These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StableTree website and services ("StableTree", "we", "us"). By creating an account, signing in (including with Google) or buying a tree, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What StableTree is
StableTree lets you pay in USDT (on the TRON network) for a sapling to be planted by one of our volunteers. After your payment is confirmed, we create a digital record of your tree with a unique token ID, an AI-written story and artwork, and a growing diary. Volunteers submit photo reports of plantings, which we review before publishing.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for making sure that using the service, and paying with cryptocurrency, is lawful where you are.
3. Your account
- You can register with an email and password or sign in with your Google Account. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person, one account. Do not share or sell accounts.
4. Purchases and crypto payments
- Prices are shown in USDT. Each order gets a unique payment amount (the price plus a few extra decimals). This is how we match a transfer to your order, so you must send exactly the amount shown, in USDT on the TRON (TRC-20) network, to the address shown on the payment page.
- Blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. If you send the wrong amount, use the wrong network or token, or send to a wrong address, we may not be able to match or recover the payment. Network fees, if any, are paid by you.
- We never ask for your private keys or seed phrase. Never share them with anyone claiming to be StableTree.
- Your order is fulfilled after the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, either automatically or when you submit your transaction hash.
- Refunds. Because transfers are final and your tree is created as soon as payment is confirmed, payments are generally non-refundable. If something went wrong on our side, or you paid but did not receive your tree, contact us and we will review your case in good faith.
5. Your tree and its token
- Each purchase results in a real sapling being planted by a volunteer, and a digital record in your account identified by a token ID (for example
TREE-1A2B3C4D). - The token ID is a record kept and managed by StableTree. Unless we clearly announce otherwise, it is not a token minted on a public blockchain, and it does not give you ownership of land, of the physical tree, or of any legal title to it.
- Your tree is a symbolic and ecological contribution. It is not an investment, a security, a financial product, or a certified carbon credit. We make no promise that it will increase in value or be resold.
- Trees are living things. Weather, disease, animals or human activity can affect them, and we cannot guarantee that a planted tree will survive or reach any particular size. The "CO₂ uptake" level on a card is an illustrative indicator, not a measured or certified figure.
- Planting dates, locations and photos come from volunteers and are reviewed by our team, but we cannot guarantee they are free of every error.
6. AI-generated content
Tree stories, diary texts and artwork are generated with the help of AI services. They are creative and illustrative: the artwork is not a photograph of your tree, and the diary may describe conditions in general terms rather than reporting exact measurements. Please do not rely on them as factual records.
7. Guardians of StableTree (game)
"Guardians of StableTree" is an optional game on this website where you care for a virtual tree for a 30-day season. These rules apply in addition to the rest of these Terms.
- Leaves are virtual. Leaves are in-game points you earn by playing. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought with real money, withdrawn, sold or transferred, and are not a financial product.
- Paid items. Some items (such as drip irrigation, premium bioprotection, eco-stimulators and extra plots) are bought with USDT on the TRON network, following the payment rules in section 4. They work only inside the game and last for the number of game days stated in the shop. Because they are digital and applied as soon as the payment is detected, they are generally non-refundable. If a paid item was not delivered because of a problem on our side, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.
- Playing is free. Paying is optional. Your first plot is free and you earn leaves every day.
- The prize. If your tree's average health stays above 85% over a full season, you earn an exclusive tree record in your account. It is created automatically, usually within a few minutes, with a story and artwork generated by AI from the care history of your season, and it appears in My Forest. Results depend on how you care for the tree and on random in-game events such as beetle attacks, so we cannot promise that you will win. Seasons are not a game of chance for money: you never stake money on an outcome.
- Fair play. Do not use several accounts, bots, scripts or bugs to gain advantages or prizes. We may reset progress, withhold prizes or close accounts that do.
- Changes. We may balance the game, change prices and effects, run events of the month and fix bugs. A season already in progress keeps the rules it started with whenever that is practical.
- Reminders. You can choose to receive email or Telegram reminders when your tree needs care, and turn them off at any time in the game.
8. Volunteers
If you are approved as a volunteer, you agree to plant trees in good faith, to submit accurate photos and coordinates, and to submit only content you have the right to share. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and use the reports and photos you submit to operate and promote StableTree, including publishing them on the website once approved. You can ask us to remove published content, and we will consider the request in line with our Privacy Policy. Volunteers are not our employees unless we agree otherwise in writing.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe the rights of others;
- attempt to defraud us, for example by submitting fake transaction hashes or false planting reports;
- probe, scan, disrupt or overload the service, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours;
- use bots, scrapers or automated tools to place orders or collect data without our permission;
- upload malware, offensive, misleading or unlawful content.
10. Intellectual property
The StableTree name, logo, website design and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the service and to display the story and artwork of your tree for personal, non-commercial purposes. Because AI-generated artwork may be similar to other outputs, we cannot promise that it is exclusive to you. Do not copy, resell or commercially exploit the service or its content without our written permission.
11. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties, including Google (sign-in), the TRON network and TronGrid, AI providers and hosting. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their acts or failures. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's own terms.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that payments on the blockchain will be confirmed within any particular time.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StableTree and the people behind it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the order the claim relates to. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
14. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, put the service or other users at risk, or where we are legally required to. If we close your account without cause, we will review in good faith any paid order that was not fulfilled.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will make a reasonable effort to let you know. If you keep using the service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
